There are 17 UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kyoto, so of course it can be challenging to decide what the best choice to see is. I'd like to tell you that in order for me to approve UNESCO's World Heritage Test as well as the Kyoto Tourism & Cultural Examination, I studied Kyoto's history & in depth. Therefore, I learned enough to pick four sites that I'm convinced are must-see spots when visiting, so let me tell you why: Thanks to my studies, I now know that among 13 temples, the Kinkaku & Ginkaku Temples truly are different from others, even from each other, regardless of being established at the same Muromachi Period (15AC). The 3rd Shogun "Yoshimitsu" was a king of Japan at that the time that Kinkaku Temple was built, which looks glittering and gorgeous as a symbol of power. On the other hand, the 8th Shogun "Yoshimasa" was a man of culture who built Ginkaku Temple showing the beauty that can be found in imperfection and simplicity, which is called "Wabi-Sabi" now. You'll enjoy seeing these contrasts!
·We'd start our tour after meeting at JR Kyoto Station. ·Approximately an hour afterwards, we would get to ①Ginkaku Temple (15AC), the most typical place representing "beauty within simplicity and imperfection". ·Once we've covered this temple, we'll head to visit one of the oldest and most prestigious shrines in Kyoto ②Shimogamo Shrine (7AC). ·Next, we could have a quick lunch on the way to our next stop. I'd be happy to suggest good quality places to enjoy a meal depending on your preferences. ·A couple of hours later, we will go to the astonishing and glittering so-called "Goden Temple" ③Kinkaku Temple (15AC). ·Then after visiting Kinkaku, we'll reach ④Nijyo castle (19AC) where we'll discuss the time of the restoration of the imperial rule. ·Our tour will end an hour later, at the Nishiki Food Market and I will see you off here.
