Ciao! I'm Paolo and I'm a born and raised in Rome guide with a pure passion for my city that I consider to be an open-air museum. Majored in English and Japanese language at Rome's Sapienza University, and studied Art History, Archeology, and History to become a licensed guide of Rome, the thing that I achieved in 2000. Ever since, showing around the beauty of my city has been my passion and I never get tired of it! Seems that my guide's vocation started a long time ago…. I have a memory when my art teacher (who now I define as a thought leader) in middle school liked so much the way I was interpreting Michelangelo's "Last Judgment", that she wanted me to explain it to my classmates and other teachers during a school excursion to the Vatican Museums. I like to create "an experience" that will last even after the tour, stimulating people's interest in what they're looking at, and especially like to recreate in the mind of the visitor the mood of the historical period in which the work of art was produced. I offer tours in and outside the city both for newcomers and for those who want to see something off the beaten track or want to see something already visited but from a different angle (I've been providing for a long time LGBTQI+ tailored tours as well).
