Full Edinburgh Day Driving and Walking Private Tour

To fully see all Edinburgh has to offer really requires both driving and walking. We will drive round both UNESCO World Heritage Sites of the Classical Georgian Newtown, actually 200 years old, and medieval Old Town. We may explore castles, churches and villages nearby as we take in the unique stunning geological features. I will explain the history and context in the very footsteps of the great figures from the Age of Enlightenment. We will then park in the Newtown and walk up to the ancient Castle and down the Royal Mile to explore the fascinating warren of the Old Town full of secret surprises and commune with ghosts from the long and turbulent past. We may take a detour to the famous University and Greyfiars Kirk before continuing down the Royal Mile to Holyrood Palace or else return to the car and back to your hotel.
