Full Day Private Walking Tour of the Royal Mile, Edinburgh

I have lived, studied and worked in Edinburgh all my life and I will give you a unique insider's history of the city. Starting with a private tour of Edinburgh Castle you will visit the Honours of Scotland, Scottish National War Museum, and the apartments where Mary Queen of Scots gave birth to her son. We will then take our time to walk down the Royal Mile, visiting some of the medieval 'closes' on the way and stopping to spend time in St Giles Cathedral. There are lots of shops, cafes and places of interest on the route, including John Knox House, the World's End and the Canongate Kirk, where the Queen worships. At the foot of the Royal Mile we will come to the new Scottish Parliament building, and then finally to Holyrood Palace, the King's official residence when she is staying in Edinburgh. I will give you the story of the Palace where you will see where Mary Queen of Scots and Bonnie Prince Charlie lived, and then we can go round the Abbey and the beautiful gardens.
