Hi everybody, I'm Mike, a national licensed tour guide from Kyoto, with Kyoto culture and history...
Itinerary not perfect? Message Masaki H. to build a tour that’s just right for you.
Kyoto has various faces according to the seasons. In winter, Kyoto looks like an Indian ink painting. You live in a black-and-white world. It will probably be the best season for a Zen monk. In spring, Kyoto becomes the kingdom of flowers, decorated in various colours. Cherry blossoms fill your heart with dreams and hope. In summer, however, Kyoto is controlled by the God of Patience. All creatures, living or non-living, are dying under the scorching sun. Autumn is the best season. Towards late November, the city turns green to brown, red, and yellow. This is truly a world of paintings. Like this, Kyoto is changing its face constantly. This city always tells me, "You may have a bad day today, but tomorrow is another day. Don't overthink, and let's move forward." Your itinerary changes from season to season. I select quiet places. After the tour, you will learn about Japanese history, culture, and spiritualism. But please let me know what you want. I'm flexible.
Destinations change from season to season. Arashiyama, Nanzenji, Higashiyama District, Golden Pavilion, Fushimi Inari Shrine, Nishiki Market, Shogun-zuka Gion, Yogenin, Hokaiji, Ryogenin, Seiryoji, Mansyuin, Eikando Dry gardens, Landscape gardens, Tea gardens
