Tour guide in Seville Alba D.

Hola! I'm Alba, and I love history, geography, travel and cultures. This passion is something I inherited from my family, as my father used to work as a pilot and is a history lover, and my mother loves languages and books, so we traveled together all the time to learn about other cultures and countries. As a child, my father would quiz me about world flags and maps, and my mother would play English music and films without Spanish subtitles, so I could learn the language easily. All this really influenced my sisters and me, and we ended up being: a political scientist and historical heritage interpreter (myself), an architect (my sister) and an artist (my little sister). We moved houses (and countries) about 7 times before deciding on settling in Seville. We all fell in love with this magical city, that I personally consider my hometown, even though I was not born here. The first time I visited Seville I was about to turn 9 years old (back in 2001), and I was completely amazed by the Golden Tower and the architecture of the whole city. I started learning about the history and legends of Seville, and then when I was at university, I decided to specialize in Historical Heritage Interpretation, so I could show this wonderful city and its culture to other culture lovers who traveled here. In 2017, I started working in tourism as a cultural manager, designing tours and itineraries for different agencies. Funny enough, people started asking if I was a guide too (I wasn't at the time), because, I was, quote "so charming and knowledgeable". . . Thus, I thought the next logical step was to study for the Tour Guide examinations, and that's what I did. I learned some Chinese (and ended up marrying a Chinese guy haha), and of course history and art history to take the Tour Guide Exam. In all my tours I obviously teach about real historical facts, but also wonderful legends, mixing everything with a bit of my personality, to make the tours be entertaining and upbeat, without falling in a tape-recorder kind of tour. So this is what you will see in all my routes: my passion for this city and its heritage. And of course you can always count on me to customize your tours, your wish is my command! I'm certified as Official Tour Guide via public examinations (Guide ID Nº GA-5424). University Specialization Diploma in Historic Heritage Interpretation, with a Degree in Political Science & European Studies. I have a Masters Degree in International Security. Currently doing another Masters Degree, in Historic Heritage, Art and Museums. I'm the first person to be professionally certified as Historical Heritage Interpreter in Andalucía via new public certifications. Diploma in Cultural Management. Diploma in Chinese for Tourism by the Government of Aragon. Diploma in Jewish History of Spain, by the Jewish Quarters Network Association in Spain. Founder of a small Tour Agency start-up. I'm listed in the Tourism Registration catalog of Andalusia. I'm listed as a professional at the Historical Heritage Interpretation Association (AIP). I have a public liability insurance. I am not a driver. I do not organize excursions/transfers.
