I am Yvonne, specialized in Amsterdam tours. Born Dutch, traveled the world, living in Amsterdam. I love history, architecture, legendary stories and culture. During a private Amsterdam tour I can show you the must see attractions such as Dam square, the historic beauty and cultural wealth of the old town and the Canals as well as places "off the beaten path". Always with a personal touch, because I want your trip to Amsterdam to be memorable and fun. Originally from the South West of the Netherlands, my private tour will offer you a view of Amsterdam, as a local would see it, including little known facts from a point of view only a local would have. I've traveled for many years around the world: I made a world trip, visited India three times and had the opportunity to do volunteer work in one of the houses founded by Mother Teresa; Went on a bicycle road trip through the Western United States from New Mexico to the Canadian border; and visited South America and Spain more than once. I am also an experienced tour guide. While living and working for several years in Mexico, I organized and led two, three and four week trips throughout Mexico and Central America. One of my best memories is leading a trip to Guatemala where my group and I helped locals with the construction of houses in poor villages. After returning to the Netherlands I settled in Amsterdam where I live in a lively neighborhood in which many different nationalities and cultures are represented. Making connections with cultures from all over the world is something I am passionate about.
