Greetings from Seoul! My name is Young, I have been an explorer ever since I was a young kid. I was the type of boy who enjoy exploring places where I have never been before and it makes me believe 'I conquered' Seoul by the time I graduate high school. And then I started exploring outside of Seoul and drove everywhere in Korea right after I got my driver's license and it makes me get into tourism. I got into tourism for foreign tourists in Korea in 2012 and I was able to meet a lot of good people from all over the world and it made me stay in this field for over 10yrs. I've been enjoying hearing about different lifestyles and cultures, etc, especially getting different perspectives on Korean history and culture. As time goes by, I have realized there are a lot of things that should have been asked (or curious to know) about Korea & Korean history if I see it from a 3rd party perspective. That's how my interest in Korean history became serious (genuine) and more knowledgeable throughout the tours. It's also relates to Korean culture these days and starting to realize there are reasons why we Koreans do or think in certain situations. I took Korean history classes to learn more every time I had a chance but it wasn't good enough for me and I decided to study Koran history more seriously at a graduate school. Right after the pandemic was announced in 2020, I've started PhD program and now I'm a doctoral candidate in Korean modern history. There is still a long way to go but I'm making good progress and I'm planning to publish books on Korean history and culture. I'd like to share more details with you and I believe you will find interest. I was born & raised and have been living in Seoul entire my life and witnessed all changes. I'd like to share stories of what Korea was like, how we changed, how we live, and our view of N. Korea and outside of the world, etc with you. I'm pretty sure I know all the best scenery spots, places to visit, when to visit, best way, places to eat, etc in Seoul cause now I even more strongly believe 'I conquer' Seoul after over 10yrs in this field. (Even the whole of Korea). I fully understand it's your valuable holiday and I do my best all the time for your time in Korea. I'm happy when I make others happy.
