I am a Dublin native and fluent Irish speaker with years of experience in developing and running tours all over Ireland. I have lectured broadcast and published on all aspects of Irish history. In 2019 I achieved first prize in the internationally acclaimed PJ O Connor Radio Drama awards. My work had been broadcast on local, national and international media. For many years I have been bringing guests on tailored tours to niche areas unearthed by me over the years and indeed sometimes specified by my guests . I have a network of special venues on the Island that are completely out of the ordinary and always provide my guests with the real but hidden gems. Many of my guests will indicate a particular interest or connection and this will as far as possible be incorporated in the tour. Each one is special within the parameters of the tour. There maybe a family connection from the distant past, an interest in Gaelic music, sports or literature. Or indeed a connection with a particular locality. Together we will focus on any aspect that interests my guests. I am qualified to Masters Degree level and have a full Public Service Driver accreditation. I speak Gaelic fluently and basic Italian and French. I love sailing and have a special affinity for the gems of coastal Ireland. Ireland has been described as " a landscape painting surrounded by a golden frame". While this is the traditional contrast between the coastal and inland Ireland my tour experience will introduce my guests to real locals with unique and authentic stories. Whether your interests lie in music, history, archaeology , genealogy, gardening, the maritime world, literature, geocaching or sport or indeed Game of Thrones or Star Wars, we will fashion a unique experience . . . together. Guaranteed no Leprechauns or pots of gold! Just a genuine exploration of the real Ireland in all her glory. Most guests spend time in contact before hand discussing and refining their particular requirements. In this way they hit the ground running and maximize their precious time with us. Essentially this is a private and unique experience for every guest for less than the per person cost of being shuttled (and shuffled!)around in a set menu fashion in a coach of up to 50 persons I am an award winning Playwright and guests will be introduced to native Gaelic speakers and re enactments of events on location so as to provide a unique experience and further enhance my guests' encounter with this wonderful "Smiley Isle" called Ireland. Covid Note My vehicle has a screen fitted and I provide gloves, sanitizers and masks for the protection of my guests.
