It is nestled near the McGillicuddy Reeks mountain range and 26, 000 acre Killarney National Park with many options for hiking, and with many small islands dotted on the three beautiful glacial Lakes of Killarney. I will take you to the hidden stone forts where locals lived many centuries ago close to the coast for protection and shelter from invading ships on the seas. The villages and towns on The Ring of Kerry welcome visitors with small family run businesses such as seafood restaurants, pubs and cafés using local produce such as scones, jam & cream for afternoon tea and fresh fish from the sea caught locally featured on their menus. You can be as active or laid back as you choose but I will teach you some of our native language Gaeilge our culture, history, crafts, music and modern day living.
