Guide #34054
Nice to meet you, traveler. If you are here, you are looking for something original, not the usual stuff for tourists. First, let me say something about myself. For me being a tour guide is a mission, not a job. I constantly study and discover more and more about my country and its cultural heritage. I am so fond that I decided to get 3 university degrees in humanistic studies, both in France and in Italy. I am a scholar of Sicilian history, especially about the Middle Ages. Do you think being a scholar means being boring? Look at my profile photo. I'm wearing a tie and shirt with (fake) fur and chainmail! Why? Because I always get deep into things, even using non-formal methods like reenactment or interpretation. This is what makes my tours so special. You will experience that, too. You will be taken to ancient times, understanding civilizations born and developed in old worlds. Do you want to truly discover Italy? You should step into an Italian's shoes, even just for a couple of hours. I was born and raised in Sicily, so I can tell my point of view is authentic. Moreover, I want to make you a gift. I give you permission to ask me any question you may like. What did an old greek sacrifice to gods, raising prayers between the shades of a temple? What clothes and armor would a medieval Norman soldier wear in summer? What was the role of mafia during the Italian emigration? How were fairies called in Sicilian? I will fully answer, there will be no taboo. I am giving great power to you and, you know, this is dangerous for a tour guide! What if you ask me something I don't know (though it has never happened so far)? I take the risk. Let's start. I wait for your inquiry, keep in mind that everything is customizable for you, as it is fun for me! Ciao! Jack Cambria's School of Negotiation: 2018. Delegate scholar in Internation Medieval Congress in Leeds, UK. Officina di Studi Medievali: socio e studioso di medioevo siculo-normanno. President and founder: associazione La Fianna. University master degree: Lingue moderne e traduzione per le relazioni internazionali. University degree: Laurea in Mediazione linguistica e italiano come lingua seconda, lode. Tour Guide Licence: Abilitazione alla professione di Guida Turistica della Regione Siciliana. None.
